People evaluation by the Management, development interviews aimed at highlighting strengths, facing weaknesses as well as outlining plans for improvement: these are the premises of training projects in CMS Spa, being aware that the company's competitiveness depends on its human resources, on their enhancement and their professionalism.
Before presenting numerical data in the final balance of 2011, we report the results of the recent Climate Analysis, carried out involving all employees (in 2011 the 93% of them replied). The company's commitment in training reported a score of 3.8 (on a goal of 4.0) and it was evaluated mostly positively by the 80% of workers and by the 93% of employees and executives. The survey also revealed that in the last 12 months at least one training course was attended by t he 45% of workers and by the 79% of employees and executives. Finally, courses popularity reported a score of 3.4 (3.6 in 2010) and satisfaction levels were expressed by the 53% of workers and the 78% of employees and executives.
Here are the numbers of last year: 63 courses, nearly 7,000 training hours (just a little less than the double of the previous year!), 1.6% of hours/man in training on total annual hours.
The hours provided included almost the 57% of employees, about the 37% of workers and for more than the 6% of managers.
On an annual average of 256 employees, training involved 180 people (71%).
Each participant received an average of almost 39 hours of training.
Excluding financed training costs, CMS Spa took charge of external expenses (especially for lectures) as well as the internal ones (hours for each participant).
Finally, here are the areas involved in training courses: production, quality, administration, information technology, safety, human resources management, communication and management techniques. Most people decided to focus on English language, someone else chose the first approach with Chinese.
